Limited evidence to support diagnostic adjuncts to be used in primary care settings Low-quality evidence suggests that cytologic testing seems to be the most accurate adjunct among those included in this review. Biopsy and histopathologic assessment remain the single definitive test to diagnose PMDs and OSCC through detecting dysplasia.
