There is no strong evidence to support the role of surgical, medical or risk cessation techniques for reducing the risk or recurrence/malignant transformation of potentially malignant disorders. A number of different interventions have been evaluated for the management of OLP specifically. There is no clear evidence suggesting the superiority of any specific intervention in reducing clinical signs of OLP.
