Overall ranking | 1 |
JLA question ID | 0118/1 |
Explanatory note | Obstructive Sleep Apnea is often under-diagnosed, in part because access to facility-based tests like polysomnography can be limited while the demand for testing often exceeds capacity, resulting in long wait-times. Inadequate public funding for diagnostic services has resulted in a strong reliance on private services in some jurisdictions. Delays in diagnosis may particularly affect people who live in rural or remote areas. |
