Original uncertainty examples | Is it possible to repair damage to motor pathways caused by mitochondrial disease? ~ Development of nano tech to identify specific areas being affected by mito and to fix or replace damaged cells. E.g hearing, repairing cells in the ears. Diabetes caused by mito, identify how to repair/replace damaged pancreas. ~ If no effective treatment is possible, then can we develop techniques (eg using stem cells) to restore RGCs/vision once optic atrophy has occurred? ~ Viability of stem cell therapies, and similar? |
