Mental Health and the Body Clock
Well-synchronized circadian rhythms are fundamental for human health and wellbeing, and are particularly important for mental health. These 24-hour rhythms allow us to align our bodies and behaviours to our environment and the daily cycles of light and dark.
Mental Health and the Body Clock Priority Setting Partnership
The Mental Health and the Body Clock PSP will gather uncertainties that explore the disruption of body clocks in people with mental health difficulties, and mental health difficulties in people with disrupted body clocks.
This will include questions about:
- experiences
- difficulties
- symptoms
- diagnosis
- intervention
- treatment and care
They will be of relevance to different age groups and different scenarios, such as the general population as well as shift workers.
